| The AANEM's Best Abstract Award is given each year to the best abstract submitted to the AANEM Annual meeting.
Deadline for Submissions for all abstracts is March 15, 2012.
Award subject and criteria:
Original research topics involving therapeutics, diagnosis, management, or basic science relating to disorders of muscle and nerve are eligible for this award. All abstracts submitted for the AANEM Annual Meeting will be considered for this award unless the authors indicate on the submission form that they do not wish to be considered. The criteria for this award includes:

Excellent scientific merit

Well written, excellent discussion

Importance to association members
The Best Abstract Award winner receives:

Round-trip coach airfare up to $500 (U.S./Canada) or $1000 (international)

Hotel accommodations (up to maximum of 3-nights)

$500 cash

Free AANEM Annual Meeting registration

20-minute time slot to present at the AANEM Annual Meeting
